Some of you may use video chat a lot. Others will have taken part in an online conference – or possibly conduct their daily work business on Zoom now quite regularly. What happens at an AGM and Conference?
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) – is the main annual event of the GYA. It is a large working meeting: members gather once a year in order to engage in capacity building, networking and collaboration in existing working groups, as well as to forge new activities, discuss the future of the GYA and elect the GYA’s executive committee. AGMs are paired with an International Conference of Young Scientists, where members discuss a theme of global relevance from all disciplinary perspectives and interact... -

GYA's Pillars: Introducing the Working Groups, Committees and the EC in particular
You are the GYA, the GYA is you! This becomes apparent in so many ways. In this article we want to look at three ways you can get engaged in particular: the GYA Activities Groups, the Committees, and the Executive Committee in particular.
The Activities Groups are activities proposed by GYA members. GYA activities can take various forms:- working groups, for longer-term activities on a broader topic

Similarly to the GYA activities groups (see above), the GYA Committees can also make use of virtual collaboration space on the AGM platform. Committee co-leads are asked to provide their brief reports (and optional brief welcome videos) to Anna-Maria by 30 April 2022.
A live Committee session will be scheduled for July, with details to follow soon.

GYA Activities groups at the e-AGM
Similar to last year, all GYA Activities Groups (working groups, incubators, strategic projects, 2020/22 focus areas, partner projects and Sasha-Kagansky Interdisciplinary Grant groups) can make use of the virtual collaboration space on the GYA Agora (see here for information how to access this year’s AGM platform).

What to expect at the 2022 AGM and Conference
The AGM, as most of you know, is usually an extremely busy week during which so much happens and little sleep is had. This year's online AGM is designed to include the core aspects of this intense one-week-event.
Main elements of an AGM are:- Elections
